My Marriage realizations

I got married on 10th Dec 2010 in hyderabad.A very traditional vedic ceremony was arranged. They had some deep meaning to it some of which i am writing it below

Every ritual started with prayers & the brahmana (priest) said to remember or meditate on Lord Visnu .

A fire sacrifice was arranged & we put oblations in it.
The fire in the yagna is the tongue of Lord Visnu & all offerings are put in it to satisfy the Supreme Lord & invoke his blessings & sanction for an auspicious marriage as stated in Bh Gita 5.29
Bhkotaram yagna tapasam....
Krishna is the ultimate beneficiary of yagna

========================= puport of 18.5
The yogis should perform acts for the advancement of human society. There are many purificatory processes for advancing a human being to spiritual life. The marriage ceremony, for example, is considered to be one of these sacrifices. It is called vivaha-yajna.
=====================

Purpose of Marriage is Spiriual adavancement
-------------------------------- puport of 18.5
The Lord says here that any sacrifice which is meant for human welfare should never be given up.Vivaha-yajna, the marriage ceremony, is meant to regulate the human mind so that it may become peaceful for spiritual advancement.

Then a small act was also performed where they made me carry a umbrella & a cane stick & i had to walk
a distance & the uncle of bride would pursue me to come back & marry .
The significance of this act is that the husband thinks his spiritual would be disturbed if he gets married
so he decides to go to Kashi (place of pilgrimage) but then the uncle comes & says that "your would be wife is
very sense-controlled & likes spiritual life & shall support your spiritual life so donot keep the worry
& please marry her"

The final & sacred ceremony is when the cloth is kept in between the wife & husband &
mangalashtakam is sung & after that the wife & husband exchange the garlands.

It was really surprising when the priest said at the start "Now remember your ista-deva in your heart "
Then the priest started chanting a mantra which i knew very well

kasturi tilakam lalata patate vakshasthale kausthubham
naasaagre varmouktikam karatale venum kare kankanam
sarvaange harichandanam sulalitam kanthecha mukthavali
gopastree pariveshthito vijayate gopala chudaamani
vijayate gopala chudaamani

O Sri Krishna ! The Kasturi (Musk) Tilak, a red ritual mark decorates your forehead and the Kaustubha jewel ornaments your chest
The Nava mouktika, a pearl ornament on your nose, your fingertips graced by a flute, while your wrist is ornamented with a bracelet.
O Sri Hari! Your entire body is bedecked with fragrant sandalwood paste, your neck has a beautiful garland

This mantra is for remembering Lord Krishna & the priest said you remember
your ista-deva ie the demigod worshipped by the lineage of ones family
I felt it is better to remember Lord Krishna because he is the real ista-deva & lord of all the demigods
Isvara param Krishna
Krishna is the Supreme lord of lords
------------ bramha samhita

& the mantra was very appropriate for that occasion

This shows that all ceremonies are simply meant for remembering & worshiping & glorifying Lord Krishna but this purpose has got lost or ignored or not emphasized in todays marriage.
I was fortunate to remember Krishna at the time of my marriage ceremonies .

It so happened that one devotee from Hyderabad temple came & gifted the maha garlands of
Sri Sri Radha Madan Mohan dieties .
We then immediately exchanged it as if doing the ceremony again.

I had arranged a book table for Prabhupad books to distributed at less price
About 300 big books were distributed .I was so happy to hear this
It gave relief from the pains of travel & tiredness.
I thought this event is an amazing memorable event in my life .

All went perfectly in KCON way.

What Pleases Krishna ??

What Pleases Krishna ??

well ......He can only answer what pleases HIM

Many people when introducing them or in About Me section write
" if you want to know me read my so & so BLOG "

TO know Krishna One has to access his BLOG...

Srimad Bhagavatam & other puranas & histories like Ramayana & Mahabharata
is like Krishnas Blog :-)
Lets get insights from HIS blog to understand HIM.

There is a very nice incident from Mahabharata where in Duryodhana is trying to please Krishna by inviting him to dinner but Krishna refuses . Following is the conversation
===================================================
Struggling to control his anger, Duryodhana replied, “It is not befitting that You treat us so, O Madhusudana. Whether Your objects are achieved or not we are bent upon pleasing You with our hospitality. You have denied us that opportunity with no good reason, O best of men. We feel no enmity toward You and therefore cannot understand why You snub us in this way.”

Krsna was grave. “I never abandon virtue from motives of desire, anger, hate or attachment. One should eat another’s food if there is love between them or if he is in distress. O King, you do not please Me and I am not in distress. For no reason you have borne malice toward the Pandavas from their childhood. Your cousins are virtuous and devoted to the good of all beings. Whoever bears malice for such blameless men bears malice toward Me. He who follows the virtuous follows Me. Know that I am merged in the Pandavas and cannot be separated from them.”
==============================================

Instead Krishna goes to Viduras house & has simple food there
some say he was offered a banana or simple vegetable

Krishna is pleased by Love & affection of HIS devotee
He confirms this in Bhagavad Gita 9.26
9.26

patraḿ puṣpaḿ phalaḿ toyaḿ
yo me bhaktyā prayacchati
tad ahaḿ bhakty-upahṛtam
aśnāmi prayatātmanaḥ

If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, fruit or water, I will accept it.
In the Purport Srila Prabhupad writes.................
Kṛṣṇa wants only loving service and nothing more. Kṛṣṇa accepts even a little flower from His pure devotee. He does not want any kind of offering from a nondevotee. He is not in need of anything from anyone, because He is self-sufficient, and yet He accepts the offering of His devotee in an exchange of love and affection.
No other condition, such as becoming a brahmana. a learned scholar, a very rich man or a great philosopher, can induce Kṛṣṇa to accept some offering. Without the basic principle ofbhakti, nothing can induce the Lord to agree to accept anything from anyone. Bhakti is never causal. The process is eternal. It is direct action in service to the absolute whole.

Even trying to know Krishna fully is like putting Krishna under the microscope of our intelligence or imagination, that also is not bhakti ----- it is like trying to know him fully & then
control him ------ That is not bhakti

a rich person cannot oblige Krishna who is supremely rich

Krishna is the one has the 6 opulences in full
ie all-knowledgeable
all-strength
all-fame
all-wealth
all- beauty
all-renunciation
So anybody trying to appease Krishna simply because he has a small quantity of any one of the
above 6 opulence is NOT Bhakti . On the strength of above opulence One cannot force or oblige Krishna

It is only through Bhakti ie devotional service
& devotional service means how much devoted we are to Krishna ?
how much loyal are we to Krishna ?
How much time & energy we putting in Krishna ?

The gopis were completely Loyal to Krishna & put their complete time & energy into Krishna
so they are the highest devotees of the Lord
A great learned Uddhava when saw this quality of the gopis he desired to be the grass in vraja to
get the dust of Gopis

They followed a simple formula : Donot try to Know Krishna ....Simply try to Love Krishna

Simply put your heart in serving Krishna & everything will be revealed by the mercy of Krishna
Donot try to know Krishna in a way to control him
but know him to be the most Sweet master , a master who is very different from the masters whom we encounter in this material world

& Krishna himself confirms in Srimad Bhagavatam
11.14.20

na sādhayati māḿ yogo
na sāńkhyaḿ dharma uddhava
na svādhyāyas tapas tyāgo
yathā bhaktir mamorjitā

TRANSLATION

My dear Uddhava, the unalloyed devotional service rendered to Me by My devotees brings Me under their control. I cannot be thus controlled by those engaged in mystic yoga, Sāńkhya philosophy, pious work, Vedic study, austerity or renunciation.

LSD effects vs 8 ecstatic symptoms

The above picture shows the effects of LSD ---- like fever, clenching, tremors, increased heart rate, pespirations
dialtions
These symptoms are externally imposed on oneself . They are forced .They having nothing to do with Heart.
They are not triggered by heart but by some matter.
People are always finding how to get the estactic symptoms & LSD is one medium where there try to externally get it & feel it for some time & go HIGH for sometime & then AGain come Down.
Because these estacties are not real but imposed artificially they give no real pleasure or satisfaction.
Instead they become the cause of trouble & invite more miseries & moreover make one much more frustated than before.

Srila Prabhupad explains that when a girl who is desperate to become a mother may sometime become crazy & make noise & cry like one been pregnant but that is simply a disturbance .
Similarly this LSD is simply a disturbance to the society.

Every soul knows about this ecstatic symptoms but because encaged in body & bodily conciousness
it is looking for pleasure outside his self & attempting disgusting LSD experiments.

Srila Prabhupad explains below how one can get the real ecstatic symptoms below:
In the beginning, there may not be the presence of all transcendental ecstasies, which are eight in number. There are:
1) Being stopped as though dumb,
2) perspiration,
3) standing up of hairs on the body,
4) dislocation of voice,
5) trembling,
6) fading of the body,
7)crying in ecstasy, and
8) trance.
But there is no doubt that chanting for a while takes one immediately to the spiritual platform and one shows the first symptom of this in the urge to dance along with the chanting of the mantra. We have seen this practically. Even a child can take part in the chanting and dancing. Of course, for one who is too entangled in material life, it takes a little more time to come to the standard point, but even such a materially engrossed man is raised to the spiritual platform very quickly. When it is chanted by a pure devotee of the Lord in love, it has the greatest efficacy on hearers, and as such this chanting should be heard from the lips of a pure devotee of the Lord, so that immediate effects can be achieved. As far as possible, chanting from the lips of nondevotees should be avoided. Milk touched by the lips of a serpent has poisonous effects.
- From Krsna Consciousness, The Topmost Yoga System, Chapter 6: The Hare Krsna Mantra, Para 4
Chant
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

How to Love a devotee ??

How to Love a devotee ??

I thought & ..........thought & ......................thought .....................
& i am not going above this statement ...........

" We should love a devotee with ALL his Faults "

***** I like the Way You Are ! ******

I Like you JuSt because..................

forgive & forget ........ &
that would make our heart light.

HH Radhanath Maharaj says "If we we cannot forgive, then there is no possibility of any relationships surviving at any level."

It is important to remind ourselves that at the end of the day, all we really have is each other.
